Northeastern University wins the Women’s Beanpot hockey tournament.

Northeastern beats Boston University 2-1 in overtime before 10,633 in the first championship game played at TD Garden. It is also the first women’s hockey championship to be played at a National Hockey League rink since it became an official sport in 2000.
